List Of Sports... Is always good to have around, so you can always be aware what is going on in the world of the Humans, as well as the Animal Kingdom. And as long as the earth has existed, there have always been sports around. Whether it was animals hunting other animals for food, or humans hunting animals for food as well. And even though later on, Humans started to hunt animals just for sports, and even other humans for sports and entertainment, the idea behind sports is still the same. It involves physical activity, it involves strategy, it involves thinking, it involves maneuvering and it involves Victory and Defeat. So with that said, I intend to share with you 3 Bloodsports that have been around since time began for us, and will continue to be around for a long time.



List of sports, first type of blood sport: Boxing.


Boxing has been around ever since we started hunting, protecting our possessions even when it was just a piece of shiny rock. And every time we felt that we have been violated in any ways, then we would fight or box for it. Or if we just wanted to take something away from another human being, then we would attack them, and initiate some form of punching. But officially, Boxing became recognized as a Sport back in 688 B.C. ( Before Christ ), by the Greeks who included it in their Olympic Games. And even to this day, this sports is still very much a blood sport, even with all the protections and rules given to the Fighters. And this is why back in 2004, ESPN declared that this blood sport was the Most Difficult Sport In The World. Because you still have to think when you're hurt, you still have to defend yourself with a broken bone, and you still have to come up with strategies while getting pummeled.



Second type of bloodsports to have in a list of sports: Cockfighting:


Now this one has always raised some eyebrows between the animal activists and the people who love to gamble and initiate cockfighting. But really, these birds have been fighting over mates, over territory ever since time began naturally. And just like all other animals who fight over Dominance, over mating-rituals. And all the gamblers have done is profit from it. Although, they have helped mother nature a lot, by enhancing the Cock's ability to fight, maim and kill. And the two roosters are placed within a ring called a cockpit. And they have also been specially bred for this type of fighting with increased stamina and strength. And the rooster or cock, is prepared from birth all the way up to 2 years old, and then are ready for fighting. And in some Countries this is National Blood Sport, while in others it is altogether banned because of the great physical trauma to the bird and even to the slow painful death that sometimes follow.



Third, in the list of bloodsports: Bullfighting:


Bullfighting is an old blood sport that originated in countries like Spain, Portugal, southern France; and Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. And in this sports the bull is baited to make a move, while the Matador plays out his skills. And the constant antagonizing of the bull to charge does not end until blood is spilled. And because the Bull is so stubborn and does not know when to quit, there lies it's great downfall. And you even see this  in People born under the sign of the bull: Taurus. For these people are so stubborn, and once they get an idea in their head, you can not stop them at all, good or bad. And in bullfighting, the Matador constantly teases the bull, by eliciting the crowd's involvement to cheer, to make other noises. But he risks getting Gored or trampled. And in some Countries, the idea of bullfighting involves trying to grab the bull by the horns and force it to the ground as it charges. Either way blood will be spilled either from the human when he gets gored, or from the bull when swords are plunged in.

Meaning, you must have have some great polo boots, and usually you would want them to be in the black or brown color. Then you must get your hands on a great Polo helmet that will protect you from collisions, accidents for when you fall off your horse. Also you will need a good polo whip, so that you can make your house move faster. As well, you must have polo eye glasses to keep dirt and debris from flying in your eyes. Because if you can't see, then how can you play. And other items that you will need are: Your polo stick, which will be your main tool for playing polo and to score. Second easy way on how to play polo: Know Your Polo Stick.
Yes dear friend, your polo stick is your basketball, your football, your chess piece, your writing pen, your golf club. It is what you must use to score in polo, since you can't use your hands, or feet or your horse's leg. And your swing of the stick is something that you must master, just like a Golf Player, or a Baseball Player. And so you must exercise your shoulders greatly, your arms, your abs. Also practice your hand and eye coordination, because the eye will see what the other players are doing, and then tell the brain which in turn will direct the entire body to maneuver in an offensive or defensive position.

3rd. easy way to play Polo: Know Your Horse.
You and your horse must become as one, you must be a united team. And the horse with all it's great strength and fearlessness, will still need your guidance and communication, in order for it to make you a great Polo Champion. So first, you must learn how to properly mount the horse. Then You must protect your horse at all times, because it is as important as the stick you use in playing this great sports. And so you must wrap bandages around your horse's legs to protect the ligaments from heavy injuries, also just like you, the horse's tendons need to be well massaged and loose so it can maneuver. Additionally, don't forget to tie up your horse's tail, so it won't get tangled up as the horse's adrenaline is kicking into gear and it is getting excited. And you have to get a good gag bridle, some good breast plates for your horse, so the saddle can stay in place. And you must get your hands on a great saddle, make sure it is flat on the back end, because you saddle will have a lot to do with how you maneuver.




So as you can see, Playing Polo is very easy to do. Once you get all the basics down and have your gear in place. Why Play Sports... And Not Just Watch The Athletes Playing? Well, you might as well ask yourself: Why come into this world, or why even take a breath? Because playing sports is that vital. And it is as beneficial as going to school, or as learning how to walk. And really, I say all this about playing sports because you must find an avenue to stay active since you are no longer Cave People. For back then, you did not need to play sports since you had to go hunt for foods, and you also had enough exercises by running away from giant animals that were trying to eat you. Also because back then, there was no need for social interaction since most Cave Families lived as small groups comprising of only the members.

But now that your brain has developed much more than 500,000 years ago, and you have become so resourceful in life by building Gadgets that do mostly everything for you. Then you must find ways: To stay active, to lose excess weight from inactivity, to maintain your social circles, to continuously connect with with your human counterparts, to entertain yourselves, to unwind from the mountain of stresses you have added in your lives by trying to accumulate so many things . And you must play sports because it is enjoyable, and because you do not want to keep doing mundane exercises which always tend up being the same routines.



Additionally, sports allow us to develop our brain functions as well as our bodies. Since our brains have movement-memory-cells, and muscle-memory-cells that will be used to maintain our health. And playing sports will build up your entire mind-body connection, which will allow you to be great at other things in life, since you will be able to Multi task. And dear friend, all the Athletes in the world already know all these things that I am telling you, and this is why you pay up to $10,000 per ticket to go and see them perform. Be it a Boxer, be it a Skater, be it a Basketball Player, be it a Swimmer etc. Because they all have made the mind-body connection successfully, and have become Super Humans.


So you have to get involved in playing sports, you have to start some kind of maneuvers that will build-up your confidence in all other areas of life. You have to play some kind 0f sports because they will keep you entertained, they will keep you laughing, they will keep you interacting with others, they will clear away your shyness, they will give you a better connection with the spirit world since your body is the temple that holds the Spirit. Basketball Free Throws,  are always very hard to perform because they require for you to have Perfect Hand - Eye - Body Coordinations. And you see just how hard Free Throws are when our great basketball players are on the court. And every time there is a penalty call, then whoever is up has to fully concentrate, wipe the sweat off their eyebrows, wipe their hands on their shorts, practice a few air free throws with their hands, bounce their legs. And then when the Referee gives them the basketball, they also have to bounce the ball a few times on the ground just so they could begin the body - mind connection.

And of course one of the notorious basketball players these days, who always have a very hard time with basketball free throws is Shaq, or Shaquille Oneal. And as great as he is in all other areas of this great sports, and as tall a giant he is ( 7+feet tall ), it's still quite a feat for him to sink the basketball in the net when performing free throws. But today, I will introduce to you a Gentleman who had no such problem in performing basketball free throws back in 1935. In fact he was the master.



Allow me to introduce to you Mr. Harold Levitt " Bunny. "



On a great day in Chicago back on April 6, 1935, there was a little competition taking place at a local Armory held by the Amateur Athletic Union. And on such great day and great evening, Mr. Harold Levitt " Bunny " who only stood at 5feet-4inches tall ( 5'4" ) started shooting some free throws in front of a large crowd of at least 5000 people. And he started around 7 p.m. making baskets in the net, and of course he looked so small and so short that no one really paid him any attention, and were all looking at the tall athletes, or the big name stars.



But Around 8p.m. Mr. Levitt or Bunny continued to make basketball free throws without missing, and that is when the crowd started to notice and beginning to gather around him, and by this time he had already made over 100 hundred of them. And then came 10p.m., and Bunny was still making all his free throws consecutively, as now he was up to 300 plus already. And then came 11p.m., and you guessed it the great Mr. Harold Levitt was still at it, and now was at a whopping 400 free throws and still did not miss any. Now imagine how hard it is to shoot just a couple of free throws, you have to keep your balance, you have to keep your arms well elevated above your head, you have to maintain concentration and focus on the net as well as your flawless forms. But after one hour of just you shooting them, and not having your team mates taking turns, imagine how tired your arms are getting, and not to mention your mind.




And so it was that just before midnight, that "Bunny" had made his 499th. Free throws in the basketball net. And on his 500th. One, he missed. And by this time, since he started shooting at 7 and the event had started around 5p.m., most of the crowd had gone home. And so it was that Mr. Harold Levitt had placed his name in the record books, by performing 499 basketball free throws. But right after he missed that one, he went on to shoot at least another 37 straight and he had stop because the place was closing up.

And later on, "Bunny" was hired by the Harlem Globe Trotters, and they used to hold contests with the public to see if anyone could out - shoot Mr. Levitt in free throws consecutively. And used to offer $100.00, and to this day it was never claimed. Because " Bunny " could easily make free throws, since he became the Master Of Basketball Free Throws, and his smallest amount of non-stop free throws was 96 straight. And the closest anybody ever came was 86 without missing at least one.

And so with that in mind, I intend to share with you today 3 great human beings who have made their mark in playing sports, by having done super - human things and therefore ensured their names are forever remembered in the record books... Here We Go:

I Introduce To You Mr. Noah Young:
Mr. Young was an Australian, who back on April 12, 1915 decided to do something great in sports. For you see he was a great runner who had build up his body with great physical strength, and after having practiced carrying weights while running for a few months, Mr. young called on some witnesses along with some record time keepers. And on this great eternal day that will be forever echo throughout eternity, Mr. Young decided he was going to run a mile and wanted people there  to witness it. Now I know what you're thinking: What is so great about a man running a mile, after all you could do it in your sleep. Well this great gentleman, who weighed around 198 lbs. Placed another man on his back who weighed 150 lbs., about 80 percent of his own body weight, and completely ran a mile in under 8 minutes and 30 seconds. I must remind you that back in that time, the fastest human being only ran a mile, free and clear with no weights or another human being on his back, under 4 minutes and 14 seconds. Just imagine you running a mile and put 10 pound weights on your ankles, now take it up many notches and put 150 pounds of uneven weight on your back and run as fast as you can for a mile.



Your unbelievable, see  what Mr. A. H. Bogardus did:
back in the 1890's  American sports shootings was as it's peak of popularity, and enjoyed by one and all. But also to this very day, since being a good shot is always in fashion and always appreciated.  And one day, at the New York's Gilmore Garden, Mr. Bogardus ensured that his great name would forever be recorded into eternity, through the sports of Glass Balls Shooting. And the way this worked was, you had a time keeper present, you had a glass ball thrower who threw at about 30 feet high, and then the shooter with his rifle. And so Mr. Bogardus started shooting, and did not stop until the time keeper stopped the watch at 1 hour and 42 minutes. And in that time, he had shot 1000 glass balls. Now divide 1000 glass balls hit, by 102 minutes of total time which is also 6120 seconds, and you have on average a glass ball being shot every 6. 12 seconds. And mind you that those were moving targets, and perfect shots. And if you have ever been in the Military or have served in the Police force, and you were engaged in a fire fight, then you know exactly just how hard it is to hit someone who is shooting at you and running.



Third Unbelievable Act of sports was done by Mr. James Saunders:
Now you've heard of great marathon runners of this decade, who go out and run 26 miles, 30 miles and even 60 miles within a couple of hours or so, and then go and sit down somewhere to rest. Now this in itself is a great feat of sports, since most people could barely run 3 miles without thinking they are about to die, and much less run them within a decent amount of time. Well let me blow your socks off, for you see back in the 1880's when people were just discovering many different sports in the west, and were also putting their physical abilities to the limit, they had organized among themselves on February 21, 1882 in New York City at the Williamsburg Athletic Club, a Super Marathon to be ran on the track indoors. And this marathon for the runners was to go on for 24 hours, and whoever clocked in the most miles would be the winner. Just imagine you not only running 3 miles under 25 minutes, or 60 miles under 8 hours at a very fast paced 8 miles a minute non stop; but you have to keep on going and run either until your heart give out, or everybody else fall out. Well Mr. James Saunders did just that, and kept on running at the very start of the clock, and after 23 hours of this crazy, incredible and unbelievable feat, the race was finally stopped short of one hour to complete the entire 24 hours marathon. And the reason why, was because Mr. Saunders was so far ahead of the other 13 runners who had started ( 7 of them had already fell out. ) And so it was that after 23 hours, Mr. Saunders had ran, an almost impossible, 120 miles. One mile ran every 11.50 minutes, not just for one hour, or six hours like our marathon runners can only do today, but for 23 hours. And then they gave him the prize of a lousy $100.00 What can you do?.....

And yes you can be the Star of the small team you have put together to play sports, and yes you can emulate your favorite athlete, and you definitely can be a role model in sports for kids, when you get your body moving. Also not to forget you can make a very nice income for a lifetime, if you are just decent at playing any kind of sports. Just take a look at the Olympics and see all the different, new, unimaginable type of sports that they are adding in every meet.

Do Sit Ups... Well This Man Did 17000 Straight. And you probably will not believe this since sit ups are kind of hard to do by any amounts greater than 80. But the benefits that you can reap if you do them correctly are astronomical, since your mid ・ section will be looking very impressive with your washboard Abs. Now of course once you do more than 80 ・ 100 sit ups, it always appears that your hips start to hurt a little bit, and what if I was to share with you about a man who had no problem doing many of them at his own leisure.

Well Allow me to introduce you a Marine Corps Captain, named Wayne E. Rollings.

For you see fellow sports enthusiast, this Marine believed in being a warrior a hundred percent. Also you know that the Marines have worked up quite a reputation for themselves, as being an elite fighting force. That can be ready for engagement anywhere, for any situation, and to engage any enemy at any moment's notice from their Commanders. And of course the majority of former Marines ( Although once a Marine, always a Marine. Like Yours Truly ), always continue living a fit lifestyle long after their duties for their Country are over with. But anyhow, back on September 13, 1971 at a young age of 30 years old, Captain Rollings called quite a few witnesses over to the gym on the Military Base, and made a bold claim that he can perform several thousands sit ups without stopping.

And the great Marine Captain laid on a mat on the floor, had someone hold his feet, and the witnesses started the clock. And Captain Wayne E. Rollings started performing the proper sit ups, but everyone thought that he was joking, and they figured that after a couple of hundred repetitions that he would just tire out, and that would be the end of it. But to the astonishment of everyone who was present, the Marine did not tire out after a couple of hundred sit ups, and kept on performing them properly. And then the amazing thing happened, after 2 hours or so he had already performed well over 4000 sit ups and did not seem tired at all. And then after 4 hours had gone by, some people had to go to the bathroom, while others had to report for duty and even some other ones had to go eat. But Captain Rollings continued on, and then 6 hours had gone by and the Marine refused to stop and had settled into a perfect rhythm, and now his brain had commanded his body to completely ignore pain and discomfort. Because it is so much better to play while you exercise, than to do heavy grueling work outs day in and day out.
