Facts Of Baseball... Because you simply must know what your Heroes have accomplished in the past, in order to build Baseball as the great game that is still is today. And if was not for the Heroes of old, who played through injury, who played no matter the weather with no air conditioning or heat, who played with no fancy equipment, who played when there were only buses to travel on, who played when medical help was a Butcher's job, and who played to bring you the greatest Family Sports Entertainment of all times. Baseball that is, and now it is your duty as die-hard fan to remember the Builders, the Pioneers, the Sacrificed, the little gods of Baseball. And with that, I intend to share with you today, 12 facts about the accomplishment of some great Heroes of the game of Baseball.

1. During the time of the players of old, Willie Mays was the only black Baseball player to hit more than 50 home runs in a season, and he did it twice.
2. Back in 1966, Baseball player Frank Robinson was the American League MVP. And he won it by Unanimous votes.
3. Back when Baseball had no luxuries to offer along with no fancy equipments, Mr. Bobby Bonds hit over 30 home runs, and stole well over 40 bases in a season. And amazingly, he did it at least 4 times in different seasons. So no beginner's luck here.
4. During the harsh conditions of the Sports of Baseball way back then, Pitcher Bob Gibson won more consecutive World Series Games than any other Pitchers in Baseball.
5. When you talk about endurance and tenacity in the great game of Baseball, none showed more of those qualities than Mr. Willie Mccovey who played in Major League Baseball for at least 40 years.
6. Talking about Affirmative Action, and wanting to make the game of Baseball greater than it is, by allowing all races to contribute great Sports Feats and add to the Record Books, the Dodgers opened the World Series back in 1966 with 6 black players in their starting line-up. Something that would cause riots and financial suicides for any team at the time.
7. Way back in the 1930's and 1940's when players did their very best, no matter the harsh conditions, Mr. Red Ruffing was the great Yankee Pitcher, who won 7 of 9 decisions in the series. And then for 4 straight years he won at least 20 games.
8. In 1921, before the great depression hit the American People upside their heads, Mr. Ross Young entertained them by hitting a Double and a Triple in the very same Inning of a series game.
9. Back in 1966, the management of the Orioles Baseball team was shrewd, because they had as one of their great assets, Mr. Moe Drabowsky, who went out on the Baseball field and Struck-out a whopping 11 Batters in one relief in a series games. And that was against the Dodgers. Talking about being in the Zone...
10. When you look at bad luck, you can attribute it even in the great game of Baseball. Because that is what Mr. Frankie Frisch had, because he played in more than 50 games, and he never once hit a Homer during the regular season.
11. Mr. Edd Roush played Outfielder in Baseball, and he started 2 Double Plays in the same series game back in 1919.
12. Way back in the year 1919, 10 runners were thrown out in one series, and the culprit, a Mr. Ray Schalk who played for the White Sox.
